Join us every Thursday for an exclusive wine experience with Bruce. Each month features different wines, and no pre-purchased tickets are required. Choose from two curated flights starting at $20, ranging from everyday drinkers to premium selections. You’ll also have the option to purchase bottles of your favorite wines after your tasting. Some months, Bruce will even bring in wine from his personal cellar.
Enjoy one-on-one time with Bruce as he guides you through your chosen tasting. Stop by Parcero any Thursday between 4 PM and 9 PM, and Bruce will be here, ready to elevate your wine experience.
Bruce Achtermann, Head Sommelier at Parcero Wine Bar
Bruce Achtermann brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Parcero Wine Bar as our distinguished Head Sommelier. With a robust background in the wine industry, he has cultivated his knowledge and refined his palate over years of dedicated service. Bruce has been with Parcero since day one, sharing his passion for wine with our guests and guiding them through exceptional and memorable wine experiences.
Bruce’s journey began at Ste. Michelle Winery, where he spent eight years in various hospitality roles, ultimately serving as Guest Services Supervisor. His passion for wine and exceptional service skills laid the foundation for his illustrious career.
He then spent seven years as a Wine Specialist and Buyer for Whole Foods Markets, where he honed his expertise in curating exceptional wine selections. His sharp eye for quality and profound knowledge of wine made him a trusted expert among colleagues and customers alike.
Bruce’s career reached new heights as he took on the role of Beverage Manager and Lead Sommelier at The Herbfarm Restaurant in Washington State. There, he managed a 12,000-bottle wine cellar, the largest collection in the Pacific Northwest. His stewardship of this impressive collection and his ability to pair wines perfectly with gourmet cuisine earned him widespread acclaim.
